Officially the Kingdom of Morocco, my new home
gained its independence from France and Spain
in 1956.

Morocco is located on the western edge of North Africa,
directly south of Spain and just across the pond from
the east coast of the United States!
Morocco is slightly larger than California with a population of almost 33 million. It's GDP is ~$107 billion - approximately the same as that of the District of Columbia. Per capita income with purchasing power parity is $5,500 (United States - $50,000).

The two official languages are Arabic and Berber. French is spoken primarily in politics, foreign affairs, and international trade.
